Koh Rong Samloem Island is a 2-3 hour boat trip from SihanoukVille, Cambodia.  The island is covered with trees and hill and is not yet developed.  There are 2 small bunglow places on the island, and a few hundred people live on the island.  Mosty fisherwomen and men and their families.

The island has a confusing name with it's slightly bigger sister, Koh Rong Island, just 4KM North of Koh Rong Samloem, and also goes by the names Koh Rung Samlem, Koh Rong Salem, and many other variations.

The island's are pretty much the same.  Unspoiled tropical forests, rising out of the Bay of Thailand.  Beaches, jungle, waterfalls, and a few bungalow places cover less than 1% of the island.
